Ronald Munstersteiger

Ronald was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1989. At that time he had surgery to remove his prostate followed by 36 radiation treatments. Two years later, his PSA level increased. Then Ron tried hormone treatment but did not like the way his body reacted to it. Ronald underwent surgery to remove his testicles. In 1996, his PSA levels again were increased. At that time, doctors recommended chemotherapy. Ronald refused.

After seeing a local television program on Dr. Burzynski, two of Ronald’s daughters searched the Internet. After a family meeting—Ronald and his wife have 7 children and 14 grandchildren—Ronald decided he wanted to be treated with antineoplastons. Playing a part in that decision was the attitude of his doctors, which was “You’ve had 7 good years.” With such a large family, Ronald knew he wanted more out of life.

Ronald began antineoplaston infusions on April 1, 1996 and continued for 3 years. He used up all his financial resources to pay for treatment but says that his life was worth it. At 69 years of age, Ronald continues to be very physically active at his home in Minnesota and helps his daughter with her horses and hauling livestock. Ronald even has had a knee replacement to keep himself active. He expresses his gratitude to Dr. Burzynski for saving his life.
