Betty Starr

This is the story of Betty Starr, breast cancer survivor. In 1995 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a lumpectomy and five weeks of radiation treatment.  Seven years passed before the cancer returned to the same spot, during which time I learned about numerous alternative cancer treatments.

In Dr. Julian Whitaker's health newsletter I read interest facts about Dr. Burzynski's clinic.  However, I opted at that time to use the services of a local physician who practiced integrative medicine.  I experienced some success along with setbacks.  When the cancer returned more aggressively in 2005, and as I was praying for God's guidance in regard to treatment, I received a brochure from Dr. Whitaker highlighting Dr. Burzynski's success.  So off I went to Houston.

On arrival, the P.E.T. scan showed a tumor 4 x 2.5 cm. with some nearby lymph node involvement.  After three months of Dr. Burzunski's treatment, a follow-up P.E.T. scan showed a tumor barely visable to the naked eye and no lymph node involvement.  In fact, when I returned home after ten days in Houston, my primary care physician could not palpate the tumor!  It has been almost two years since I was told there was no longer any evidence of cancer.  Everyone at the clinic is most helpful, professional, and caring.  I am intensely grateful to God for the live-saving work of Dr. Burzynski and his fabulous clinic.
